El Pollo Rico

By far the area's best Peruvian style chicken; the secret spices used to season the chicken are what brings in the lines. The chicken is cooked perfectly as well, with juicy and tender meat and a crispy, flavorful skin.

The sides are limited compared with other area chicken eateries - Crisp and Juicy and Super Pollo both offer more choices of plantains, yucca, rice and beans etc. This is not to say the sides at El Pollo Rico are not adequate; the fries are great and the cole slaw is perhaps the best in the area.
Both of the provided sauces are pretty good. Combine them for a spicy and addictive dressing. For the true Arlington chicken connoisseur, grab a tub of Crisp and Juicy's orange sauce before going over to EPR.
Don't be intimidated by the long lines during peak lunch and dinner hours. They move quickly and efficiently, which is perhaps one of the most distinguishing traits of EPR.
